Labor & Delivery Unit . This position is the second supervisory level in the nursing series responsible for assisting a Unit Manager with the management and supervision of a complex Specialty Critical Care unit.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.
Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department. Active certifications must be maintained throughout employment.

Minimum Requirements Candidates must possess ALL of the following, e xperience may be concurrent : LICENSE Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
NURSING EXPEREINCE Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with one (1) year being in a Labor & Delivery Unit.
SUPERVISORY/ LEAD EXPEREINCE OPTION 1: Six (6) months of experience as a full-scope supervisor or lead/ charge nurse over professional nursing staff.
OPTION 2: One (1) year of experience as a Relief Charge Nurse or Relief House Supervisor at ARMC
SUBSTITUTION: Two (2) additional years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Labor & Delivery Unit at an acute care hospital may substitute for the required supervisory/ charge nurse experience.
CERTIFICATION/ COURSES Must Possess And Maintain The Following: - Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support(BLS) Certification
- Healthcare Provider Level Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification issued by Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification issued by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing; five (5) years of experience working in an acute care facility and at least two (2) years working in Labor & Delivery.
