Network & Telecommunication Senior Analyst. This is a regular full-time, exempt hourly position with benefits. The anticipated work schedule for this position is a Monday-Friday, on-site; on-call and weekends as needed.

Who we are looking for Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; and, when assigned to the
Police Department IT Section, the successful candidate must be able to do the following:
- Lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Police Department and City’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and security systems.
- Serve as a technical lead for complex network initiatives, ensuring high availability, security, resiliency, and performance across enterprise environments.
- Drive network architecture planning and long-term strategy to support scalability, modernization, and future growth.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for critical network issues and outages.
- Establish and maintain network standards, documentation, and best practices, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to network and IT staff, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging networking and security technologies and proactively recommend improvements.

Minimum qualifications - A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in network design and administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, wireless, and high-availability architectures in mission-critical environments.
- Strong expertise in network security and secure network design, including VPNs, firewall technologies, and hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Experience supporting Cisco and other networking platforms in production environments, with the ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer network issues.
- Familiarity with public sector, public safety, or other highly available and regulated environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.
SupervisionWork is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position does not supervise others.

This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits, with Monday-Friday, on-site; on-call and weekends as needed. This opportunity is only open to current City of Chandler employees only. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 6 months should another position become available.
