Invites applications for the position of:

Budget Manager

Open to both internal and external applicants

At the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, budgeting isn’t just about numbers—it’s about building, sustaining, and future-proofing critical infrastructure. As Budget Manager, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of public finance and engineering, guiding the financial strategy behind large-scale wastewater and solid waste facilities that serve millions of residents across Los Angeles County. This highly influential leadership position oversees complex operating and capital budgets, long-range financial forecasting, and rate-setting analysis that directly supports large, multi-million-dollar capital improvement programs. Working closely with engineers, operations leaders, and executive management, you’ll translate technical program needs into sound, data-driven financial strategy, advise on policy decisions, and help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of essential environmental services. For finance leaders who want more than a traditional government budget role—who want to engage with infrastructure, influence real-world outcomes, and lead at a strategic and operational level—this position offers a rare and rewarding career opportunity.
