ABOUT THE POSITION

There is one (1) full-time, regular Social Services Unit Supervisor vacancy in the Division of Children and Family Services within the Department of Health and Human Services.

This assignment area has 24/7 operations. The Social Services Unit Supervisor may occasionally be required to serve as the after-hours supervisor on duty during non-business hours.

The Social Services Unit Supervisor provides first level supervision to senior, journey-level, and other support staff. They also lead special projects and plan, assign, and evaluate the work of staff in various program units. This position also collaborates with other county departments, local law enforcement, government agencies, and community service providers in the delivery of services to clients.

Children and Family Services Assignment - One (1) Full-Time, Regular Hire vacancy
The Division of Children and Family Services (CFS) serves a diverse population of families in Marin, with a significant overrepresentation of families of color in our system that is consistent with the global problem of overrepresentation in child welfare. CFS staff work with abused and/or neglected children and their families. They perform tasks in intake, emergency response, court, ongoing services, adoptions, or resource family approval programs.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE :
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly desirable.
Bilingual Testing/Certification:
The successful candidate must possess bilingual skills and must demonstrate proficiency in both Spanish and English prior to appointment. A bilingual proficiency exam will be administered to ensure the candidates possess the appropriate skill level to meet the requirements.
