Description

If you are passionate about protecting our state from cyber threats and have a knack for cyber intelligence and investigations, this role is for you. The Missouri Department of Public Safety’s Office of Homeland Security (OHS) is at the forefront of cybersecurity, established right after the events of September 11, 2001. The Missouri OHS Cybersecurity Program, launched in 2019, aims to create a robust cybersecurity front in the state through Intelligence, Coordination, and Outreach.

Join the Department of Public Safety as a cybersecurity professional and become a pivotal resource in safeguarding Missouri's cyber environment. This role involves identifying, creating, and sharing actionable cyber intelligence, supporting regional homeland security efforts and fusion centers. Delve into the dynamic world of criminal and terrorism-related cyber threats, conducting wide-ranging analytical functions from research to reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Systems, criminal justice, military or government intelligence agency or criminal intelligence network organization, or in a business, financial, or academic environment, compiling data, analyzing findings and writing comprehensive reports or related field; AND two or more years of professional experience in the areas of information security, cybersecurity, information assurance fields or intelligence. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, criminal justice, criminal intelligence, cybersecurity, information security, or a related field is required is required. However, professional experience in a criminal justice, cybersecurity or threat intelligence role may be considered as a substitute for formal education on a year-for-year basis.

Special Requirements



The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
