Description

In this position you will use MoBuys and SAMS II to process maintenance and repair payments including utilities and expense accounts. This position also comes with full time benefits such as Medical and Dental Insurance, 13 paid Holidays and accruable vacation and sick leave.

Job Location: This position will be located at Ike Skelton Training Site, Jefferson City, MO.

Participates in the accounts payable process by using SAMS II, MoBuys and web-based database ensuring vendors are paid correctly and on time. Examines state and federal invoices and supporting documentation prior to payment to determine propriety of expenditure by auditing mathematical extension, proper approval(s) obtained, documentation of receipt of service/product, discounts, state tax exclusion and verifying correct funding information needed to process invoices. Submit proper paperwork for the tracking of property for fixed asset reporting. Reconcile vendor statements and invoices for previous balance due and credit balances.

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of SAM II Financial and MoBuys. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.

• Ability to perform detailed work using statistical data and financial data and to create spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the section and other business partners.

• Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
