This recruitment is primarily being held to fill two (2) seasonal/part-time vacancies, one (1) at Modesto Reservoir and one (1) at Woodward Reservoir. The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future full-time, part-time, and seasonal vacancies within the Department.

THE POSITION The Account Clerk II is the journey level classification in this series. Assignments frequently overlap those given general clerical classifications; however, they are distinguished by the degree of mathematical, record keeping, bookkeeping and clerical accounting duties assigned. This position exists in various County departments and is subject to overtime, standby, holiday, shift, and callback assignments. Performs related duties as assigned . The Account Clerk II, at the Department of Parks and Recreation, works in the entrance station at Woodward (Oakdale, CA) or Modesto (Waterford, CA) Reservoir.
The seasonal work schedule will be up to 40 hours per week and will include working weekends and holidays. Morning shifts may start as early as 5:00 a.m. Late shifts will vary with start times from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Account Clerk II may be required to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions, including high-heat temperatures. Seasonal positions will be needed through mid-September.

Part-time, extra-help, or seasonal is a provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. These positions are non-benefited except for participation in a 401(a) program with Nationwide. As a part-time or seasonal Stanislaus County Employee, you will be eligible for the benefits listed below: Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Classified Service of the County and is assigned to the Office Worker/Clerical bargaining unit for labor relations purposes. Individuals who are in a full-time classified position are required to serve a twelve-month probationary period, which may be extended an additional six months for a total of eighteen months. Incumbents may also be subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday and shift assignments as identified in their MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).
