Professional Review Engineer - Land Development

Land Development Project Review
Perform detailed technical reviews of land development plans and manage multiple projects through approval.
Ensure compliance with county regulations and provide timely, high-quality feedback within established timeframes.
Maintain project files, checklists, and documentation to support efficient review and inspection processes.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve design or compliance issues.
Field Oversight and Coordination
Supervise Land Development Inspectors and Lot Drainage Teams, monitoring construction and inspection activities.
Review lot drainage plans and address field concerns through site visits and technical reports.
Coordinate with inspection teams, other county departments, and outside agencies such as FDOT and SWFWMD.
Serve as a point of contact for citizen inquiries and stakeholder communication.
Administrative and Public Support
Prepare Commission packets, technical presentations, and other project documentation.
Participate in public meetings, workshops, and committee discussions related to land development projects.
Assist with Unified Development Code (UDC) updates, budget preparation, and fee assessments.
Support continuous improvement through process updates and interdepartmental collaboration.
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m. (no weekends!)
