An Administrative Technician job is available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation, Administrative Division. This detail-oriented professional will assist the department with all items related to timekeeping. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator and collaborator who can build a high level of trust and effective relationships.
This position is responsible for all timekeeping aspects for the Park & Recreation Department, including weekly reporting processes, timesheet adjustment requests, and ability to explain proper procedures as it relates to timekeeping/payroll process to management and employees when they have questions.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associates degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in accounting, finance or related field
- One (1) year of directly related technical accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of timekeeper processes.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system, to include more complex tasks such as troubleshooting pay issues is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook computer skills.
The Administrative Technician job responsibilities include: - This is the primary timekeeper for the Park & Recreation Department.
- Respond to requests for information and assistance from management and employees, specifically regarding Personnel Rules and Regulations and proper procedures as it relates to timekeeping/payroll.
- Provide oral and written correspondence to all inquiries regarding timekeeping/payroll processes.
