Job DescriptionTraining Support Technician I $20.59 per hour 1 PositionBryan, TexasThe Role at a GlanceThe Training Support Technician involves day-to-day operational support for the Law Enforcement and Protective Services programs to include support for students, customers, instructors, and training managers. Duties include assisting training programs with operational support to include training coordination and class setup/delivery, training site preparation, instructional support, and preventative maintenance and minor repairs to training props and/or equipment and act as a safety observer during hands-on field training sessions. This position will support training deliveries at the Public Safety Training Center, Physical Skills Training Center, Primary Firearms Range, Secondary Firearms Range, Drive Track, Skills Pad, Demolition Range, UXO Pit, and other training areas to include offsite locations. In addition, this position will assist with third-party facility usage requests by conducting facility preparation, pre/post site inspections, periodic site monitoring, and act as a safety liaison while ensuring third parties adhere to proper usage guidelines. The Training Support Technician will also perform general maintenance tasks, maintain inventory logs, and track assigned assets and materials.
This position reports to the Program Training Director.
Qualifications of the Role - High school diploma or GED.
- One year of general maintenance, mechanical, and/or construction experience.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
