Job Description NERRTC Cyber Wage Agency Instructor $45.00/hour Wage (Temporary/Casual) Position6 Positions to be FilledTelecommuter The Role at a GlanceThe Cyber Security Instructor coordinates, prepares, and delivers Cyber Security classes throughout the U.S. and its territories. The Cyber Security instructor trains various audiences including state and local emergency managers, government personnel, public sector officials, private sector representatives, and operators of critical infrastructure through courses which focus on strategies and techniques (i.e., identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery) to assist local and state communities improve their resilience against cyber incidents. The Cybersecurity Instructor will use their knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learning success and ensure the overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Cybersecurity Instructor uses a variety of media to present course materials and is responsible for assisting in curriculum development projects to maintain course relevance and support customer needs.
This position reports to the Training Manager - NERRTC Cyber Programs.
Qualifications of the Role- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of related experience in cybersecurity and/or information technology.
- One year of adult education and/or training experience.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
