The Environmental Services Department is seeking to hire a qualified applicant for the position of Management Analyst II for the Business Services Division. This position performs a wide variety of complex financial analytical duties related to business operations, contract compliance, organizational efficiency and budget preparation, forecasting, and monitoring. Analyzes financial data (historical and forecast), systems, procedures and operations; draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on the data, designs and implements improved systems, procedures and methods; and performs a variety of analytical and administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in
Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field. - Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Financial or Rate Modeling experience
- Knowledge of Questica
- Government/municipal budget experience preferred
The Management Analyst II job responsibilities include: - Gathering and analyzing data/statistics & determining trends
- Coordination, development and monitoring of the Environmental Services Department budget. Which includes three funds: General Fund, Enterprise Fund and Special Revenue Fund Budget
- Reconciliation of Revenues
- Trends and Forecasting
- Accounting responsibilities such as journal entries, combo codes, etc.
- Grant monitoring and reporting
- Year-end accruals and audit schedules
- Recognizing and developing improvement opportunities
- Providing a wide range of analytical and administrative tasks for the Business Services Services Division.
- Providing analytical support and organizational analysis for a variety of systems and procedures within the Environmental Services- Business Services Division.
- Creation and review of Mayor and Council communication
