Pay Range: $17.11/hr. - $21.31/hr.

Workdays & Hours: This position requires working weekends and holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas and may require rotating shift assignments to include Sunday - Saturday 6AM - 9:30 PM.

A Parking Meter Technician I at job is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department within its Parking Services Division The select candidate will have the ability to provide maintenance duties in support of the activities and services of the Parking Enterprise operations and services. Candidates will be tested on Excel, reading maps, comprehension skills and various math skills.

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils and workspace restrictions.

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
