HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This mid-level position and will serve as first point of contact for the Compliance and Investigation Bureau as well as support for the Special Agent in Charge and for the investigators as necessary. The position provides analytical/investigative support to agents in the field and provides analytical and statistical data for the Department of Revenue.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
Provides analytical support for Administrator/Special Agent in Charge/Investigators
Performs independent functions requiring the application of technical expertise or specialized program knowledge; organizes and implements program activities; confers with management regarding program status and issues.
Ensures the accurate and timely preparation, review, posting, and processing of a variety of investigation related documents.
Researches assigned issues, compiles pertinent program or fiscal information, and prepares complex ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, and/or databases.
Utilize the SAM II system to order of supplies for the entire Compliance and Investigation Bureau.
Obtains quotations and bids for commodities, equipment, and services; initiates, within defined limits, the processing of requisitions and purchase orders
Maintains all records relating to Compliance and Investigation Bureau vehicles including the monthly vehicle logs, scheduling maintenance with the OA garage, and ensuring timely renewal of department license plates.
Maintain, create, and/or update necessary forms for tracking law enforcement personnel training hours, UCR reporting and any other necessary reporting information.
Assists General Counsel’s Office by conducting stolen vehicle checks through MULES for all declaratory judgements for Missouri.
Reviews documents and criminal investigative reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Composes routine correspondence; proofreads and/or finalizes letters, memorandums, reports, or other documents for approval and/or signature.
Establishes and maintains complex filing systems and preparing of records for storage and/or archiving.
Performs, reviews, and verifies complex computations involving the application of rules and regulations.
Enters, updates, and/or retrieves information in automated systems; develops spreadsheets and databases; utilizes various software packages, including Tableau, in the performance of duties.
Receives general supervision from an administrative supervisor who makes assignments based on desired objectives and reviews work for achievement of results.
Carries out assigned responsibilities with considerable independence and makes decisions concerning work procedures and processes; however, an administrative supervisor reviews significant departures from established policies or procedures.
Performs other related work as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc). A working knowledge of Tableau is preferred.
The candidate will be required to write correspondence and prepare reports, therefore should have a good working knowledge of English grammar.
Must be MULES certified or able to obtain the MULES certification within the first 3 months of accepting the position.
4 year college degree preferred, however applicant should have at a minimum two years of college in a related field, or two years of experience in a related field in lieu of college. Must have a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
