The Austin Public Library is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Worker Leader to join our Facilities Services Division. The selected candidate will be responsible for directing and supervising the activities of warehouse and maintenance personnel, in addition to overseeing the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems across all library facilities.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of various maintenance disciplines, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other related trades. Furthermore, this individual will supervise the work unit in the absence of a supervisor.

Pay Range
$23.44 - $26.83

Full Time (40-hours weekly)

Schedule:


Must be able to respond to off-hour emergencies, including weekends, evenings, and possible holidays.

* This position requires a graduation from High School or equivalent, plus four (4) years of experience in building maintenance work including heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems. * This position will require you to work schedule and unscheduled overtime, outside of the M-T 1:00pm - 9:30pm and Saturday 9:00am - 5:30pm (2nd shift). Both the overtime and On-Call shift can require you to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
