Position DescriptionPerforms specialized analytical duties in the operation and maintenance of assigned area. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to area, making recommendations and assisting in implementation of projects. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Major/Essential Functions- Collaborates with the Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation as well as the Assistant Vice President, Finance and Administration to support the strategic initiatives for the Research Division.
- Responsible for financial tasks including reconciliation, reporting and forecasting funding associated with operational budget, seed funding, and endowment spending.
- Oversees planning and budgeting of events, business functions, other conferences and training/workshops. Collaborates with the research departments and other research staff for all Office of Research and Innovation events.
- Handles approvals or submissions for procurement and travel using Techbuy and Chrome River.
- Facilitates the oversight of space allocation and operates as the property management custodian
- Serves as the primary point of contact for research systems management, memberships, subscriptions and resources managed through the Office of Research and Innovation.
- Assist Human Resources with departmental responsibilities for recruitment and on-boarding.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree required plus five years progressively responsible related experience.
