The Tacoma Power Generation Natural Resources Team is growing!

We are currently looking to fill our Cowlitz Services Field Supervisor

Tacoma Power is accepting applications for a Natural Resources Field Supervisor at their Cowlitz location. The Natural Resources Field Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and oversight of technicians and resources stationed at the Cowlitz Hydro project within the Services and Delivery workgroup. In this role you will work on priority projects and operational needs within Natural Resources providing support to our programs including fish facilities, wildlife and lands, science and research, water resources, data analytics, and report writing.

This role is dedicated to field work and in-person crew lead activities along with scheduling; coordinating with project managers and stakeholders; developing processes to create efficiencies; and supervisory, mentorship development and training of staff. This position is field and office based with significant time spent in both environments.

Responsibilities include:


Qualifications

Minimum Education*
High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience*
5 years of experience with wildlife, forestry, aquatic habitats, and/or Pacific Northwest Salmon ecology and recovery practices, including 2 years prior at senior, lead and/or supervisory level

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
First Aid and CPR certification within the first 6 months of employment
Washington State Driver's License

*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education

Other Employment Information

Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.

Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.

Union Affiliation: Many job classifications are covered by union security provisions which require union membership, dues, or payment of equivalent service fees.
