Job Description
We are seeking a Ground Operations Specialist II/III to support the final preparation, integration, launch, landing, and recovery of spacecraft hardware. This role is responsible for helping transition a spacecraft from production and testing into flight readiness by executing critical processing activities, developing procedures, coordinating launch campaigns, and ensuring the vehicle is prepared for safe launch operations.
The Ground Operations Specialist serves as a key member of the team responsible for putting the "final touches" on the vehicle before flight. Responsibilities include spacecraft processing, launch vehicle integration, procedure development, payload integration, launch site operations, propellant loading support, configuration management, and post-flight recovery activities. You will work closely with engineering, quality, flight operations, launch providers, and mission teams to ensure the spacecraft is properly configured, verified, and ready to fly.
This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, highly adaptable, and comfortable operating in dynamic environments where procedures are still being developed and refined.
This position is an initial 9-month contract with opportunity to extend. The hourly rate is based on experience, ranging from $48.50-72.50/hr. This is an onsite position, working a 9x80 schedule. There may be short term travel required.

Skills and Requirements
Ground Operations Specialist II
2-5 years of aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, integration, testing, or launch operations experience.
Experience supporting hardware processing, integration, testing, or operational activities.
Experience executing technical procedures in controlled environments.
Ability to independently support launch and spacecraft processing activities.
Ground Operations Specialist III
5+ years of spacecraft operations, launch operations, aircraft maintenance, integration, or aerospace operations experience.
Experience supporting launch campaigns or preparing complex vehicles for operational deployment.
Ability to lead processing activities and coordinate across multiple organizations.
Experience driving issue resolution in mission-critical environments. Spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle, aircraft, or aviation operations experience.
Experience preparing hardware for launch, deployment, or flight.
Experience writing operational procedures, work instructions, or processing documentation.
Familiarity with launch site operations and vehicle integration activities.
Knowledge of hazardous operations, clean room environments, and contamination control.
Experience coordinating with external customers, launch providers, or operational teams.
Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to evolving processes.
