Summary
Program Specialist
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Develops programs to insure that the Simulation Center initiatives are planned, developed and implemented in an effective manner.
- Develops materials, presentations and information packages for Nursing Research, Innovation, & Development initiatives.
- Develops guidelines, instructional methods, materials, etc., and new or improved applications of educational technology to training programs.
- Provides guidance to operating programs in establishing their internal training programs, developing or obtaining training aids, and selecting pertinent government and non-government training resources.
- Develops and/or modifies procedures, courses, training guides and plans, and seeks alternative training sources for the organization having a fairly well-defined and readily understood mission.
- Researches and/or analyzes problems, issues, or program requirements.
- Determines pertinent issues and collects relevant information from a variety of sources.
- Reviews information and applies standard analytical techniques. Develops recommendations and proposals.
- Plans and/or accomplishes special projects. Uses standard approaches to perform a variety of duties related to special projects involving administrative or support issues.
- Conducts extensive research and compilation of data from diverse sources.
- Teach and coordinate simulation-based learning alongside research, innovation, and development activities to integrate theory with realistic practice, foster collaboration, and continuously improve educational outcomes.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm
