Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Job Description and DutiesUnder the supervision of and receiving general direction from a Deputy Labor Commissioner III, in the State Labor Commissioner\'s Office\'s (LCO) Public Works (PW) Program, the Deputy Labor Commissioner I (DLC I) is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of prevailing wage laws and regulations, apprenticeship standards, skilled and trained workforce requirements, contractor and project registration requirements, Industrial Welfare Commission orders and laws covering workers\' compensation insurance coverage and labor laws under the jurisdiction of the State Labor Commissioner. While in the field, exposure to dirt, odors, noise, fumes, uneven surfaces, stairs, high-rise buildings, extreme weather conditions, and fast moving equipment may occur.Possible Telework Opportunities — Successful candidates would be expected to report to the assigned office, in person, at least 2-3 times per week.
