Public Health OfficerKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures for crew members on board the cruise shipConduct regular health and safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standardsProvide training and education to crew members on topics such as hygiene, disease prevention, and emergency responseMonitor and assess the health status of crew members and provide appropriate medical care as neededCollaborate with shipboard medical staff to ensure proper medical protocols and supplies are in placeDevelop and maintain relationships with local health authorities and medical facilities in ports of callInvestigate and report any incidents or outbreaks of illness on board and implement measures to prevent further spreadMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all crew membersStay current on industry regulations and best practices related to public health and safety on board vesselsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in a public health or occupational health role, preferably in a maritime settingKnowledge of international health regulations and standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel and spend extended periods of time at seaWorking Place: Miami, FL, United States
