FLEX PART-TIME ARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Job Summary

The Flex Part-Time Armed Security Officer is responsible for providing professional security services at various Andy Frain Services client locations and events. Flex Officers must be willing to work at different locations, events, and posts based on operational needs.

The Armed Security Officer will perform duties in accordance with company policies, client requirements, post orders, and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Officers are expected to maintain a professional appearance, remain alert and attentive while on duty, and provide excellent customer service.

Flex Officers may be assigned to facilities, sporting events, concerts, conventions, entertainment venues, corporate locations, and other special events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide armed security and protection of assigned property, personnel, guests, and assets.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
• Monitor assigned areas and remain alert for suspicious, unsafe, or unauthorized activity.
• Control access to restricted areas and verify credentials, identification, tickets, or authorization as required.
• Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and the use of approved screening equipment when assigned.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle as directed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, gates, loading docks, parking areas, and other assigned posts.
• Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, and other situations.
• Notify supervisors, management, law enforcement, fire department, or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Complete incident reports and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Follow all post orders, emergency procedures, client instructions, and company policies.
• Assist with crowd management and maintain order during events.
• Provide directions and professional customer service to guests, employees, vendors, and clients.
• Safeguard company and client equipment issued for the assignment.
• Maintain proper radio communication and follow established communication procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions, policy violations, suspicious activity, and security concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding company, client, employee, and security-related information.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned by management.
  

Flex Officer Responsibilities

Because this is a Flex position, officers must be prepared to:

• Work at multiple Andy Frain Services locations and client properties.
• Accept assignments based on operational and staffing needs.
• Work different shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work special events, sporting events, concerts, conventions, and other large-scale events.
• Report to different posts and locations as directed.
• Maintain reliable transportation to assigned work locations.
• Remain flexible regarding scheduling and post assignments.
• Maintain availability and communicate with management regarding work assignments.
  

Armed Officer Requirements

Applicants for the Armed Security Officer position must:

• Meet all federal, state, and local requirements for armed security employment.
• Possess and maintain all required security and armed licenses, permits, certifications, or registrations applicable to the assignment.
• Successfully complete the company's hiring and background-screening process.
• Successfully complete required company and client training.
• Be legally authorized to possess and carry a firearm for employment purposes.
• Demonstrate safe and responsible firearm handling.
• Maintain firearm qualification requirements as required by law, company policy, or the client.
• Follow all firearm policies, post orders, and use-of-force requirements.
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications in good standing.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age, or meet the applicable age requirement for armed security work in the assigned jurisdiction.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background investigation.
• Must be able to successfully complete required training.
• Must possess strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Must be able to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must demonstrate professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules based on business needs.
  

Physical Requirements

The Armed Security Officer must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Walk and patrol assigned areas.
• Climb stairs and navigate large facilities and event venues.
• Respond quickly to emergencies when required.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and supplies.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions when assigned.
• Wear the required security uniform and duty equipment for the duration of the shift.
• Perform duties while wearing required protective or security equipment.
  

Work Environment

Flex Officers may work in a variety of environments, including:

• Georgia World Congress Center and convention facilities
• Sports arenas and stadiums
• Concert and entertainment venues
• Corporate facilities
• Parking facilities
• Outdoor event areas
• Sporting events
• Special events and festivals
• Private and public facilities
• Other client locations throughout the assigned market
  

Officers may be required to work in crowded environments, elevated noise levels, outdoor conditions, and varying temperatures.

Attendance and Reliability

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.

Flex Officers are expected to:

• Report to work on time and properly prepared for duty.
• Follow the assigned schedule.
• Properly call off when unable to report to work.
• Follow the company's call-off and scheduling procedures.
• Maintain communication with management regarding availability.
• Avoid no-call/no-show occurrences.
• Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or authorized to leave.
• Maintain a dependable work history.
  

Attendance, punctuality, performance, and compliance with company policies will be considered when assigning future Flex shifts.

Uniform and Appearance

Officers must report to work in the complete, clean, and properly maintained uniform required for their assigned location.

The standard security uniform may include:

• Black uniform pants or other client-approved pants.
• Approved black shirt or assigned uniform shirt.
• Black belt.
• All-black, professional footwear.
• Company-issued identification.
• Required duty equipment.
• Firearm and approved duty gear for armed assignments.
  

Additional uniform requirements may apply depending on the client or event.

All Armed Security Officers are expected to:

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Treat guests, employees, supervisors, coworkers, and clients respectfully.
• Follow the chain of command.
• Protect confidential information.
• Never abandon an assigned post without authorization.
• Never sleep while on duty.
• Never report to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Follow all firearm safety requirements.
• Use force only when legally justified and in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
• Immediately report incidents and safety concerns.
• Maintain a professional appearance while representing Andy Frain Services.

Schedule: Flexible; based on event and client operational needs
Work Locations: Multiple client and event locations
Shift Availability: Days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, and special events as assigned

Pay rate: Will be different per location, Between 20 to 24 an hour
