We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Federal Staff Auditor to join the team in our Bethesda office. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week. This position will support CohnReznick's Government and Public Sector Advisory practice. This group is highly experienced and specially trained in the operations, processes, regulations, and reporting requirements of public entities. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Leads the staff auditor on a variety of federal financial statement audits
- Demonstrates an understanding of complex federal accounting standards, federal auditing concepts and is able to apply to that understanding to unique client situations
- Takes responsibility for all aspects of project execution, ensuring the team meets established deadlines and that deliverables are complete and accurate. Reports status, issues, and delays to leadership and clients timely.
- Provides consistent coaching, mentoring, and training to team members (on technical and professional matters)
- Cultivates strong professional relationships and functions as the main liaison and trusted advisor for clients, auditees, and team members alike.
- Opportunities to participate in comprehensive business development initiatives, including opportunity identification, proposal preparation, budget management, professional networking, etc.
The successful candidate will have:
- BA/BS degree in accounting or business administration
- CPA license or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance or higher
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience performing federal financial statement audits
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and other responsibilities concurrently

In Maryland, the salary range for an Advisory Associate is $71,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
