Summary
COO - OPS - Institutions OperationsReporting to the Administrative Officer III at a multi custody female correctional facility, this position is responsible for all IT duties at Anson Correctional Institutional (multi custody female correctional facility) and Brown Creek Correctional Institution (minimum custody male correctional facility). Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Designing and reviewing internal and external infrastructure requirements, supporting voice, data, video, structured cabling, and other communication technologies.Serving in a security-focused role, ensuring agency systems and assets are protected from unauthorized access, misuse, or destruction.Performing the daily operations, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communication networks and related hardware and software.Planning, coordinating, maintaining, and operating computer communication networks; installing and configuring computers, laptops, and peripheral devices; loading and updating software; and providing technical consultation, user support, and training.Ordering all equipment relating to IT hardware such as printers, scanners, ink/toners, etc.Interacting with a diverse group of users and must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills while utilizing a variety of technical resources to resolve issues.Possessing strong organizational skills and be able to maintain an up-to-date inventory of all equipment received and issued.Performing these duties in support of any division or component of the Department of Adult Correction (DAC) and may require travel to various offices and facilities throughout the state.Compensation and BenefitsThe State of North Carolina offers a comprehensive benefits package including:Health Insurance optionsRetirement PlansNCFlex Supplemental BenefitsPaid Vacation, Sick, and Community Service LeavePaid Parental LeaveVisit the State Benefits website for additional information.Salary Range: $56,772 - $85,159This posting will close at 11:59 p.m. the night BEFORE the end date listed above.This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with established working hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and may require working beyond normal work schedule to meet business needs.About Anson Correctional InstitutionAnson Correctional Institution houses female offenders in medium and close custody housing units. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE). Family and friends can order a package of goods from a pre-approved shopping list to send to an offender. Orders are packaged by offenders and shipped quarterly.Supplemental Application InformationApplicants must complete the application in full.
