Associate Director, Department of the Navy (DoN) Lead Customer Integrator
The Associate Director, Department of the Navy (DoN) Lead Customer Integrator, represents Pratt & Whitney Military Engines' business goals and objectives with all DoN customers (USN and USMC). The DoN Lead CustomerIntegrator is responsible for interfacing with DoN and Department of War (DoW) customers to build relationships to:
- Increase customer knowledge that supports business objectives.
- Understanding USG processes—those of the DoW—so that P&W products can provide capabilities to meet system requirements.
- Gain insights to respond with PWME solutions for DoN aviation, addressing current readiness concerns/needs.
What You Will Do:
- Represents Pratt & Whitney Military Engines' (PWME) business goals and objectives with customers and clients in the National Capital Region and at major Department of Navy (DoN) bases and facilities.
- Focus is on DoN (i.e., both Navy and Marine Corps) engine programs within the office of the Secretary of the Navy. Maintain close relationships with USN and USMC aviation stakeholders (strategy, requirements, planning and programming) within the DoN to develop the best solutions for future propulsion requirements in close coordination with PWME Program leads
- Provides liaison & coordination with the RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) Team in D.C. Coordinates all activities with three other Washington DC colleagues who focus on Headquarters Air Force, Navy & Marine Corps programs, Joint Program offices as well as Commercial & International programs.
- Customer communities include the Department of War, USG agencies with adjunct involvement in defense programs, partner and client companies in the aerospace defense industry, associations active in defense, the staff of foreign embassies in Washington DC, and Think Tanks that provide analysis and commentary on defense.
- Represents military engine interests with the US Congress in coordination with RTX GGR. Serves as the PWME liaison with RTX GGR and coordinate with them on achieving P&W priorities for the US Congress.
- Strategic goals include building relationships to increase customer knowledge that supports business objectives, understanding USG processes—those of the Department of War—so that P&W products can provide capabilities to meet system requirements, and facilitating communication for P&W executives and program managers with salient USG and industry leaders in Washington DC. Works individually and cooperatively with other industry colleagues through associations and Think Tanks to provide thought leadership that will improve business relationships between the USG and the defense industry. Support P&W trade show engagements as well as supporting cross-RTX trade show planning and support.
- Facilitate communication for P&W executives and program managers with salient USG and industry leaders in Washington DC.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Experience to include extensive US Navy and/or Marine Corps Aviation experience as well as experience with the Department of War and other US Government Agencies, experience with the DoW Requirements, Acquisition, and PPBE processes, skilled communicator with an ability to maintain productive relationships in difficult situations; good analytical, problem solving, and project management skills, demonstrated leadership and strong business acumen, high degree of responsibility and accountability for establishing and achieving objectives. ability to work in cross-functional teams in a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision, ability to drive and support organizational change to lead continuous improvement in our products and customer satisfaction, highly responsive to customer requirements, flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, priorities, and schedules and familiarity with aircraft turbofan engine hardware, operation, and flight performance.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized hold a government security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Top Gun, Weapons School, or Test Pilot School graduate.
- Experience in Joint Position with DoW Services and Allied Partners Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Career Field Certifications highly desirable.
