Summary
Expeditionary Operations & Technical Exploitation SMEThe SME applies specialized knowledge and analytical expertise to expeditionary operations, technical programs, institutionalization, capability development, and other assigned EXU-1 mission requirements. The position independently manages or supports intricate projects and may supervise or train junior personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesApply specialized technical knowledge and analysis to assigned EXU-1 projects and mission requirements.Plan, organize, control, supervise, or manage intricate projects or multiple related activities.Perform research, assessments, data analysis, technical investigations, and capability evaluations.Assist in identifying operational deficiencies, capability gaps, risks, and potential solutions.Support development and evaluation of tools, technologies, procedures, TTPs, training, doctrine, or mission capabilities.Prepare technical documentation, reports, briefings, recommendations, and other deliverables.Coordinate assigned activities with Government personnel, contractor staff, and mission partners.Train and supervise lower-level personnel when required.Support exercises, operational planning, testing, experimentation, exploitation, logistics, intelligence, training, or other activities consistent with the individual's technical specialty.Maintain required professional, technical, safety, and security qualifications applicable to assigned duties.Potential Functional AreasEngineeringTechnical exploitationEODWTI/TECHINTIntelligence analysisElectronicsChemistryForeign materielLogisticsOperational planningTrainingDoctrineCommunicationsData analysisFacilitiesAcquisitionRequirementsOr related mission support disciplinesTravel/DeploymentPosition may require CONUS and OCONUS travel, including short-notice support to expeditionary or operational environments.
