As a Drug & Alcohol Prevention Specialist, you will perform the following duties:Program Delivery: Plan and implement evidence based prevention programs in school and community settingsCommunity Representation: Represent the agency on committees and collaborative groups to support prevention initiativesEducation Services: Develop and deliver training, lessons, and intervention services based on identified needsMaterial Preparation: Prepare and distribute educational materials, lesson plans, and program resources for various audiencesData Management: Maintain documentation and complete timely data entry into the prevention management systemSAP Support: Provide consultation, screenings, interventions, and support groups as part of Student Assistance Program responsibilitiesWork Schedule and Additional Information:Seasonal, full-time employmentStart time and hours depend on school schedule. Employee works during school year, occasionally during other times, as needed. Employee may have overnight travel or out of county travel for meetings or training. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist Trainee; orA Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and one year experience in drug and alcohol prevention work; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
