Position Summary / Responsibilities
The Police Officer provides service, information, and assistance to patients, guests, staff, and physicians throughout University Health facilities and properties. This role is responsible for protecting life and property on all property owned, leased, rented, or otherwise under the jurisdiction and control of University Health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preventing crime and suppressing disturbances
- Investigating criminal offenses and arresting offenders
- Enforcing criminal laws, Health System policies, rules, and regulations
- Ensuring the safety, welfare, and protection of patients, guests, staff, and property
- Exercising independent judgment in emergency and non-emergency situations
- Promoting the Health System's Guest Relations Policy through professional and respectful interactions
