The Chief Admissions Officer at Royal Oaks Hospital provides strategic leadership for the Admissions Department, overseeing daily operations and guiding a team dedicated to connecting individuals with the care and services they need. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to the Admissions team, including Admissions Counselors, Transporters, Customer Relations Specialists, and the Assistant Director of Admissions. Oversee daily admissions operations to ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service. Partner with the Assistant Director of Admissions to manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental performance. Support the admissions process by coordinating assessments, referrals, transportation, insurance verification, and appropriate call routing. Review departmental reports, maintain admissions documentation, and support quality improvement initiatives. Respond to operational needs, including participation in the on-call rotation and after-hours admissions support. Address concerns with professionalism and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture while promoting continuous learning and staff development. Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High School/GED Required Associates degree in human services preferred At least two (3) years of working in an Intake/Admissions Department of a psychiatric hospital required if an Associates or Bachelors degree is not obtained Must obtain and maintain current CPR certification within 60 days of hire Must obtain and maintain certification in an approved crisis intervention methodology (CPI, MANDT, or CALM) within 60 days of hire QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION N/A QUALIFICATION(S): ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of basic psychiatric process required Must have the ability to deal with people in an empathetic and concerned manner You'll be a great fit for this role if you: Are a collaborative, supportive leader who enjoys developing and motivating high-performing teams.
