Dispatcher Power your future with Qualus in our Specialized Field Services department as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher you will work within a large industrial complex that provides on-site, 24hr. control, assessment and monitoring of the utilities (electric, water, steam, etc.).Work Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays from 7:00pm to 7:00am.Responsibilities Managing and maintaining a safe and reliable operation of the facilities' electric generation, transmission and distribution system, water distribution system and gas systemOverseeing the continuance of critical utilities by maintaining economical, reliable and safe operating conditionsControlling emergency responsesInterfacing with customers and field personnelSurveying facilities by inspecting retention pounds, pumps houses and substationsOperating analog, digital and computer terminal equipment to assure proper and reliable exchange schedules when requiredCoordinating necessary station and distribution switching to protect repair personnelIsolating and restores to operation faulted circuits and equipmentPlanning and scheduling switching procedures to place new lines and equipment in service, removes lines and equipment out of serviceMaintaining records of orders issued to and reports received from field personnelComplying with general and specific instructions, verification, acknowledgment of standards and regulationsStarting, stopping and transferring control of various units of equipmentMinimum Qualifications Experience within industrial or utility operationsExperience and/or knowledge in electromechanical equipmentKnowledge of meter reading and electrical equipmentElectrical knowledge in operating electrical disconnects and breakers, as well as monitoring voltage levels and performing substation inspectionsDetail orientedAbility to effectively communicate verbally and writtenExperience in Microsoft Suite to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordSafety - focused in recognition of potential dangers and hazardsWhile performing duties of this job, employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects and tools at least 75% of the work shift.Prefer an Associate's degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or an Electrical Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited college, similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee)Benefits & Compensation Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
