This includes cities, counties, villages, townships and schools.Job DescriptionWith a statewide staff of more than 800 auditors and other professionals, the Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing all public offices in Ohio, (nearly 6,000 entities). This includes cities, counties, villages, townships and schools.What will you be doing?The Auditor of State Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is comprised of Forensic Accountants, Investigators and Attorneysas a single source of expertise for investigating fraud in government. Their experience allows them to take a case from an initial complaint through conclusion.Serve as Special Prosecutor when requested by county prosecutor, present cases to Grand Juries, prepare discovery, attend pretrial conferences and motions hearings, interview trial witnesses, and prepare case for trial.Provide legal and investigative advice to SIU staff.
