This position is part of the City's centralized communications team responsible for creative services, brand governance, and the City's web and digital properties, and works on projects that serve departments across the organization. We're looking for a designer with strong graphic and visual design experience across a range of applications, including print and digital collateral, branding and identity work, and UI/visual design.

The ideal candidate has produced work that meets diverse organizational needs while maintaining a cohesive brand system, and is motivated to help advance and evolve the City's visual identity and digital presence.

Strong candidates will demonstrate experience in brand stewardship, versatility across mediums such as collateral, campaigns, and web/UI, and the ability to translate stakeholder needs into polished, on-brand creative.

Compensation:

$29.89 - $37.37/hr

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Telework opportunities may be available after an initial training period. Work schedules are implemented to meet the requirements of the department and are subject to change based on business needs.

Travel:

If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.
