Summary
Job Summary:The Regional Desk Officer SME for EUROPE Amercia and Artic will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to the Department of Defense on matters related to the European, African, and Arctic regions. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the political, economic, and security issues affecting these regions, as well as experience working with government agencies and international organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to the Department of Defense on matters related to the European, African, and Arctic regions
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and international organizations
- Conduct research and analysis on political, economic, and security issues affecting the regions
- Prepare reports and briefings for senior officials
- Participate in meetings and conferences related to the regions
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- TS clearance required
- 10 years experience in a related field
- Extensive knowledge of the political, economic, and security issues affecting the European, African, and Arctic regions
- Experience working with government agencies and international organizations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
