ABOUT THE POSITION

The Clark County Department of Real Property Management is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Automotive Service Worker position in the Automotive Division. As a member of our team, you will play an integral role in daily shop operations while working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will be customer oriented and responsible for determining required vehicle service and maintenance needs by listening to customers questions and concerns and providing timely responses. Duties include creating work orders, scheduling maintenance and repairs, coordinating vehicle and equipment recalls, and maintaining historical repair records for a variety of vehicles and equipment. The selected candidate will be part of the Automotive Maintenance Control Team.

This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND one (1) year of full-time experience in the servicing of automobiles.

All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application. Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment; may be required to possess a Class B or A license with appropriate endorsements.

Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.

Citizenship: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note, Clark County does not provide H1B visa sponsorships or transfers for any employment positions.

Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Mobility to work in a typical shop or field maintenance setting, including operating small hand and power tools and standard office equipment and to drive a motor vehicle to reach various work sites and pick up and deliver materials; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over a radio or telephone.
