Introduction Join Our Team as a Family Resource Center Early Learning Specialist The City of Scottsdale is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Learning Specialist to support our Family Resource Center and help empower families with children ages 0-5. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening early childhood development, expanding parent education opportunities, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where families can learn, connect, and thrive.
As an Early Learning Specialist, you will collaborate closely with community partners, lead early learning programs and workshops, and support families in accessing the resources they need to promote school readiness and healthy child development. Please note: Effective June 14, 2026, the salary range for this position will be $26.41 - $35.68. Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $31.04/hour . Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience- A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Family Studies or related field is required from an accredited educational institution.
- Two years of paid work experience in an educational setting with children from birth to age five and experience providing trainings for/or working with adults.
- An equivalent combination of education and job related experience may substitute for the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.
- Preferred: Master's Degree.
- Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver's licenses must be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to the State of Arizona.
- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
Other pertinent licenses and or certifications may be required of some positions based on department/section assignment.
