Job Description

Location: OKC - 123 Robert S Kerr.

Salary: up to $50.96/Hourly, based on education and experience

Full Time /Part Time: Temporary

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Primary Hours: 8-5, Approximately 20 hours per week.

This position is designated as executive management as determined by the agency director and is exempt from the provisions of the Civil Service and Human Capital Modernization Act.

Position Summary

The Trauma/EMS Medical Director - Protocol Approval serves as the physician authority responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and approving emergency medical service (EMS) protocols to ensure compliance with state regulations, evidence-based practices, and patient care standards. This role is focused on providing Trauma - EMS subject matter expertise, clinical expertise, and protocol oversight, and the position will authorize staff National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) licensure.

Education and Experience

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Oklahoma.

Experience with emergency medical services, prehospital care, and EMS clinical protocols.

Understanding of state EMS regulations, national standards, and evidence-based medical guidelines, and Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computers and phones. Employees must be willing to complete all job-related travel associated with this position. Being present at the office is an essential function of the job.
