Description
The Role: The Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the Facility Services Department, including customer service, staff performance and development, inventory control, and budgetary oversight and forecasting. This position provides leadership to direct reports while building and supporting a professional, innovative, and team-building environment.

- Manage the department’s day-to-day operations by improving processes and customer service while keeping efficiency at the forefront of all decisions. Make sound business decisions by anticipating changes using past practice, experience, and communication resources.
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of the shift supervisors and ambassadors’ daily activities.
- Implement and support long-term departmental and Authority-wide goals from an operational standpoint.
- Inspect property daily for quality control, schedule preventive maintenance, and review deficiencies with supervisors. Dispatch appropriate resources when necessary.
- Maintain transparent communication with supervisory and non-supervisory staff.
- Participate in internal and external customer meetings to maintain professional relationships and address show/event needs within LVCVA policy and safety guidelines. Assist with the scheduling of labor and logistics for all activities impacting the department.
- Develop strategies for new and improved work methods.
- Perform routine administrative duties promptly to ensure data accuracy and staffing levels. This includes planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage optimum ambassador performance at the LVCVA.
- Make sound decisions and recommendations to management regarding hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating ambassadors in accordance with LVCVA policy and collective bargaining agreement.
- Oversee various components of the annual budget and purchasing process. Monitor, evaluate, and terminate services as discussed with the department head.
- Assist with capital planning and prioritizing projects/purchases and maintain knowledge of industry trends in new technology that may impact the department and the organization.
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations to remain current on EPA, OSHA, and ADA guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Three years in a supervisory role within a related field
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups of managers, staff, clients, customers, and the general public
- Knowledge of automated work order scheduling and planning is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, and handheld devices such as tablets and smartphones
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions
- Ability to support and respect various cultural and ethnic values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of a diverse workplace
- Ability to operate hand and power equipment
- Stamina to work for extended periods
- Ability to lift or maneuver occasionally up to 75 pounds and regularly 25 pounds
- Dexterity to reach, kneel, crouch, and climb

Salary:
$69,300.00 - $86,650.00 Annually
