San Mateo County Health's division of Aging and Disability Services is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Community Program Analyst II.

Community Program Analysts provide program planning, technical assistance, review and evaluation functions to direct community/client service delivery programs; act as County liaison with contract service providers, community-based organizations, and funding sources; ensure compliance with program regulations and procedures; monitor contracts related to assigned program; and do related work as required.

The Community Program Analyst II position within the Commissions and Provider Services Unit in the Aging and Disability Services Division performs a variety of technical tasks and community development work related to the planning, implementation and coordination of community-based services for older adults and individuals living with disabilities. Much of the work includes building community and provider relationships, monitoring contracts, compiling and analyzing data, and problem solving with organizations to ensure a service delivery system that is responsive to the needs of older adults and Individuals living with disabilities. Individuals should have knowledge of issues regarding aging, disabilities and accessibility, and experience in community-based service delivery with an emphasis on contract management.

The position is currently located in San Mateo, CA, but will relocate to South San Francisco, CA, planned for December 2026 . The position will travel throughout the County to perform the duties of this position. This full-time position follows a Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm schedule. It is anticipated that the position will primarily work in the office during the probationary period, but include hybrid work accordingly. Office requirements include four on-site workdays aligning with operational needs and County requirements.

Application/Examination

Open & Promotional. Anyone may apply. Current County of San Mateo and County of San Mateo Superior Court of California employees with at least six months (1040 hours) of continuous service in a classified regular, probationary, extra-help/limited term positions prior to the final filing date will receive five points added to their final passing score on this examination.

The examination process will consist of an application screening (weight: pass/fail) based on the candidates' application and responses to the supplemental questions. Candidates who pass the application screening will be invited to a panel interview (weight: 100%). Depending on the number of applicants, an application appraisal of education and experience may be used in place of other examinations or further evaluation of work experience may be conducted to group applicants by level of qualification. All applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination. All examinations will be given in the County of San Mateo, California and applicants must participate at their own expense.
