THE POSITION
IT Central is looking for Part-Time/Extra-Help Technology Specialist I candidates to support Desktop and GIS operations. The Desktop role focuses on supporting and troubleshooting desktops and laptops, imaging new systems, installing and updating hardware and software, and ensuring a smooth and secure experience for users. The GIS position supports the County’s geographic information systems by maintaining and updating datasets, publishing map layers, supporting web-based mapping applications, and helping departments that rely on spatial data for their daily operations. Both roles work closely with other IT teams and require strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills. CLASSIFICATION INFORMATION
Part-time extra-help is a provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. This position is subject to overtime, standby, shift, and callback assignments and will perform related duties as assigned. This position is non-benefited except for participation in a 401a program with Nationwide .
