Water Department - Stormwater Preventative Maintenance DivisionLocation: 1800 Prospect Ave
Salary Range: $22.61-$34.48 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

What you'll do
- Operates trucks, tractors, and other heavy-duty, specialized automotive construction and cleaning equipment used in the installation, repair, replacement, cleaning, and/or maintenance of stormwater inlets, channels, levees, and other related stormwater structures.
- Operates combination jet-vacuum cleaning units in cleaning stormwater pipes.
- Removes heavy debris from stormwater catch basin boxes.
- Hauls debris to landfill to properly dispose of materials.
- Participates in snow plowing and snow removal operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRES:- 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation of heavy and complex construction and maintenance equipment.
- Must possess a valid state -issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies.
- May be required to possess a valid MO Class A, B, or C CDL prior to the end of the employee's probationary period as determined by the department.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained. If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
