Health Department Vacancy:
The Clinic Services Bureau is seeking an individual with excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills to fill the vacancy for Management Analyst II in its Quality Improvement unit. The Quality Improvement unit focuses on improving efficiency and workflow development, tracking quality metrics, such as diabetes control, and overseeing compliance adherence. This position will be responsible for research and data analysis, reporting and presenting data, making recommendations to policies and procedures, coordinating grant activities, and provide supervision to support and technical staff.
County Administrative Office - Sustainability Vacancy :

The Management Analyst II in the County Administrative Office - Sustainability Program is a key role in the program’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to prepare the county for the effects of climate change through adaptation projects. This position will assist in the implementation of the County’s Community Climate Action & Adaption Plan and the Municipal Climate Action Plan, which are expected to be adopted in the Fall of 2026. The Sustainability Program works to implement these plans using a holistic lens of sustainability to co-develop solutions to meet the environmental, economic, and social needs of current and future generations.

This Management Analyst II will work collaboratively across the department with a focus on transportation programming such as complete streets collaboration, micro & shared mobility strategies, electric vehicle adoption, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, developing grant proposals, managing grants, and community outreach. Demonstrated background in data management, planning, and Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

This classification is part of a flexible series. Incumbents appointed at the lower level of the career series may be promoted up to the higher level of the career series subject to their meeting the employment standards for the higher class and a recommendation for their promotion by the appointing authority.

The Eligible List established by this recruitment process may be used County-wide to fill current and future vacancies on a regular full-time, part-time, or temporary basis.

Examples of Experience/Education/Training

Any combination of training, education and/or experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities and required conditions of employment is qualifying. An example of a way these requirements might be acquired is:

Education : Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, social services, political science, education, or a related field.

Experience : One year of experience performing administrative analytical duties in a position equivalent to the Monterey County classification of Management Analyst I

OR
Four years progressively responsible experience in positions requiring administrative analysis, training, report writing and/or interpreting complex governmental regulations are examples of typical alternatives to education.

Additionally, two years of successful post-graduate experience is an example of a typical alternative to the experience requirement.
