Hospital Environmental Services Supervisor. The Hospital Environmental Services Supervisor assists in the administration of ARMC's Environmental Services and Linen Departments. Responsibilities include directing and supervising, through subordinate supervisors, the daily operations of the department. Duties include evaluating environmental services, planning, assigning and reviewing work; conducting or participating in disciplinary actions, hiring, orientation, planning; and developing in-service training, maintaining facility cleanliness, safety and quality of work. In addition, the position represents the department on various hospital committees.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Summary of Benefits Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history.
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements SHIFT AVAILIBILITY: Must be available to work
ALL SHIFTS (DAY, SWING, NIGHT, ROTATING, HOLIDAYS and WEEKEND)
. Indicate availability on the Supplemental Questionnaire. You will not proceed further in the examination process if all shifts are not selected.
-AND- EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of supervisory experience over housekeeping/linen staff in an acute care hospital.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate possesses knowledge of medical waste management, hospital linen handling and processing, and experience serving on hospital committees, including responsibility for compliance with The Joint Commission standards, accreditation requirements, and survey readiness activities, including onsite reviews.
