Public Safety OfficerThe public safety officer serves and protects the campus community. Duties include but are not limited to ensuring buildings are secured and safe, making themselves available to the students, faculty and the staff for assistance and assisting in emergency situations on campus.Full-TimePublic Safety11:00pm to 7:00pm, Days off Vary40 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/YearNon-Exempt, HourlyThe public safety officer will:Foot, bicycle and motor patrol.Respond to medical and other emergencies.Write reports.Operate and maintain the command center (building alarm systems, fire safety and closed circuit television systems).Required Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMore than 8 years of work related experienceLicensed pursuant to the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992Certified in first aid, CPR/AED/NarcanValid New York State Driver's LicenseMicrosoft Office (Outlook)Responsibility for Public Contact:Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.Salary Information:The hiring hourly rate for this position is $20.00.
